What we offer
Every session brings together the activities that best fit the participant’s goals, interests, comfort, and setting.
These are flexible focus areas we can blend, adapt, and build on together. The mix may change as we learn what keeps the participant comfortable, engaged, and motivated.
Movement games and patterns that practice body control, balance, timing, posture, and stability in different positions.
Bodyweight, resistance-band, free-weight, and portable-equipment exercises selected for the participant, setting, and goals.
Non-contact pad work, footwork, stance, awareness, and controlled technique—not combat training.
Carries, holds, squeezes, and supported exercises that challenge the hands and forearms.
Direction changes, quick choices, reaction games, jumping, landing, and sport-inspired drills that practice reaction time and reflexes.
Gentle dynamic and static movement selected for comfort, range of motion, and session goals.
Walking, marching, active games, and adapted jumping, hopping, or stepping exercises selected for the participant’s pace and ability.
Activities such as matching cones to colored targets, remembering movement sequences, and completing timed challenges that practice focus, decision-making, and perseverance.
The AdaptAble circuit
Every 45-minute session uses a consistent circuit structure with a station mix selected around the participant’s needs, goals, interests, comfort, and setting.
One participant might use all eight movement categories. Another might use three strength stations, two grip stations, one mobility station, and two cardio stations. The trainer builds the mix around what matters most for that individual.
Station timing, exercise choices, cues, and transitions can be adjusted for the participant. The eight-station, three-round structure stays familiar while the experience remains personalized.

Where we train
Some participants feel most comfortable starting at home. Others enjoy the open space of a park or the equipment and energy of a private gym. We’ll choose the setting together based on comfort, goals, location, and availability.
Our first partner gym
Families can now request this private-gym setting for one-on-one AdaptAble Empowerment sessions. The space offers a focused training environment and access to a wider range of equipment.

About AdaptAble Empowerment
AdaptAble Empowerment was started by Coach Zack, a San Diego personal trainer with more than five years of experience helping people build strength, confidence, and a more comfortable relationship with movement.
His earliest connection to the adaptive community began in kindergarten through a close friendship with a classmate who had cerebral palsy. What stayed with Zack was not a label—it was friendship: growing up as peers and spending Sundays watching football, with Zack cheering for the Bears and his friend cheering for the Steelers.
Years of professional experience have only strengthened that perspective. At AdaptAble Empowerment, each participant is met as a whole person—not a diagnosis, category, or problem to solve. Coaching begins with listening, getting to know the individual, and creating movement experiences that feel respectful, engaging, and genuinely personal.
“Our goal has never been—and never will be—about building a client base. It’s about building genuine relationships and creating opportunities for confidence and independence to grow.”— Coach Zack

Good questions are welcome
No. AdaptAble Empowerment provides personal training, adaptive movement coaching, and supported physical activity. We do not diagnose, treat, or provide medical or therapeutic services.
Before services begin, we review participation information, emergency contacts, communication preferences, the session environment, and any activity guidance provided by the family or a qualified healthcare professional. Services are non-clinical and do not replace medical advice or therapy.
No. Families who feel ready can request a free 45-minute trial session directly. If you would like more information first, choose the free 15–20 minute consultation instead. We will still confirm participation, consent, location, and safety details before any movement session.
No. The eight focus areas are the movement categories trainers use to build one personalized eight-station circuit. A circuit may include one station from each category or place more stations in the areas the participant needs most.
For minors, a parent or responsible adult must remain available during the session. We will confirm the right level of participation during the consultation.
Each 45-minute session centers on an eight-station circuit completed three times, with a three-minute recovery break between rounds. The trainer selects the station mix from our eight movement focus areas based on the participant’s goals, interests, pacing, comfort, and setting.
Depending on location and availability, sessions can take place at home, a nearby park, or one of our partner gyms. Hardcore Fitness Convoy is our first official gym partner.
Partner-gym sessions are arranged through AdaptAble Empowerment. During the consultation, we’ll talk through fit, preferred setting, scheduling, and what to expect before confirming a gym session.
We are currently welcoming private-pay families while exploring funding pathways. We will never represent funding as available until it has been confirmed for your situation.
Usually not to get started. We design sessions around simple, portable equipment and the space available.
